This way you can get rid of whatever is about to cause the panic attack. Also get some exercise. Panic attack sufferers usually have higher levels of adrenaline and exercising can reduce these levels.

Some experts advise that one of the most effective ways to prevent panic attacks is to face it head on. You should not fight it, just let it pass and allow it to run its full course. In other words, learn to weather the storm of the panic attack. This is because if you keep on fighting against a panic attack you are allowing your fear to grow stronger. If you face it head on, the attack has nothing to feed on and will slowly drain down.

Another valuable advice on how to get rid of panic attacks is to refrain from thinking of it. Of course it is easier said than done but if you keep on thinking you will have a panic attack then chances are you will likely have one. One way to lessen the negative imagination is to keep busy and focus your thoughts on other things. Extra activities like reading some books or answering puzzles can help keep the mind stimulated and sharp.

As with other illnesses, it can be very scary and emotionally draining to continuously deal with panic attacks. This is the very reason why it is a must to learn how to stop them or at least prevent them from occurring.
